Frequently Asked Questions
Eyelash extensions are not for everyone. This is a very high maintenance beauty treatment. It requires gentle care in order for the lashes to last long and stay in good condition. You should read and understand all the information listed below before you get this service done.
What are Lash Extensions?
Eyelash Extensions are individual synthetic lashes. Each synthetic lash is attached individually to one of your lashes, not the skin. It is a very enhancing beauty service and you DO NOT need to use any mascara while wearing eyelash extensions. It is a very careful and intense service which requires skill and precision. Once applied, these lashes are so natural looking it is difficult to tell even up close that you have extensions on. Size availability ranges from short to long. For a fun change, why not add some highlights? They are available in festive colors such as red, wine, yellow, pink, purple, green, and blue. Hazel eyes sparkle with green. Blue eyes dazzle with blue. For some bling, add a few crystals to the corner of your lashes.
How long do the Lash Extensions last?
It is totally an individual process. The lashes will stay on your lashes for the remaining lash life when applied correctly, specifically for human lashes. The adhesive dries very soft on lashes, allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes. The eyelash extensions will adhere to your natural lashes softly and comfortably while not damaging your natural lashes or causing the natural lashes to fall out, you must not try to remove the eyelash extensions on your own.
Do the Lash Extensions damage my natural Lashes?
No, not at all! The Lash adhesive is formulated to create a polypeptide bond, specifically {or human lashes.
Can I wear mascara with my Lash Extensions?
These lashes naturally darken your lashes, your lashes will look vivid and mascara is NOT necessary. Rubbing directly on the lashes, or using mascara remover will weaken the bonding. This will also twist the extensions or make them fall out. I strongly recommend that you avoid wearing mascara.
What happens if a lash loosens or becomes dislodged?
When needing immediate removal of a dislodged eyelash you can use olive oil or any oil soaked Q-tip. You can safely remove the individual lash by gently rubbing the lash with the Q-tip. This method only works for lashes that are already loosened. If more than one lash becomes dislodged, please contact your technician to make an appointment to have them removed or replaced.
Can the Lash Extensions be removed?
They can be easily removed, at any time for any reason. Removal of the Lashes takes about 15-20 minutes. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT YOU MAY CAUSE BY TRYING TO REMOVE THE EYELASH EXTENIONS ON YOUR OWN.
What you should do before your Lash Extension appointment:
Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with mild, oil free cleanser. Do not use oil based makeup removers to clean your lashes prior to the application. Do not put on any mascara. If you are a contact lens wearer, please remove contact lenses and wear glasses to your appointment, or bring lens case and remove them when you arrive. Plan to set aside 1 ½ hours for a full set and up to one hour for fills. It is very relaxing and many clients fall asleep during the procedure.
Aftercare
Following these important after care instructions will aid in extending the life of your eyelash extensions. Care must be taken not to rub or scratch your eyes, pull or tug your lashes. Also, any creams, eye makeup removers, lotions, or cleansers containing oils can loosen the bond of the eyelash extensions. Care must be taken to apply eye cream sparingly with avoidance of the lash line area. If you have any questions please contact your stylist.
